New Ways to Connect to No-Cost Legal Aid
Central Floridians: speak with an advocate or a lawyer at no cost, or find resources and workshops to help with your legal issue
We are here to help you with civil legal matters. Because we receive many requests, we invite you to first look up information about your legal issue. If you still need legal guidance, schedule a phone appointment. For urgent matters or if you have a court date within two weeks, call the Helpline and hold for a team member.
Step One:
Research Issues and Find Workshops and Clinics
- Learn about your issue via the Legal Education library.
- Know your rights and responsibilities, and find educational events that help.
Step Two:
Schedule a Phone Appointment
- Submit an online “intake” form. The form is a prescreening tool that will open in a new window. It is hosted by Florida Online Intake. Some legal matters may be redirected to call the Helpline directly.
- If you are eligible for no-cost legal assistance, select an appointment option.
- Save our phone number as a contact in your phone, so our call isn’t filtered as spam. Our number is 1-800-405-1417.
- Our Helpline team will call you at your appointment time, will complete the screening process, and can provide legal guidance if you qualify.
Is it Urgent?
